In the cherry blossom season, the Higashiyama Shrine and Higashiyama Bridge are enveloped in a soft pink hue. The cherry blossoms blooming along the river reflect on the water, connecting the historic shrine with the tranquil townscape, making it one of the top hanami and shrine-visiting spots in the Kanto region.
The observation deck at Shinsuizuriyama Asamigaoka Park is a famous cherry blossom spot that symbolizes Japan. In spring, the full bloom of cherry blossoms, the five-story pagoda, and the distant Mount Fuji come together to create a breathtaking scene unique to Japan.
Ōishi-ji is the head temple of the Nichiren Shōshū sect, located on the western foothills of Mount Fuji. In spring, the cherry blossoms within its precincts bloom in full splendor, offering a serene and beautiful scene where the solemn temple and the blossoms create a tranquil backdrop against the majestic Mount Fuji.
