Izu Above the Clouds – An Elegant Fuji Journey (2 Days)

Departing from Tokyo, this immersive 2-day journey takes you through the natural and cultural highlights of the Izu Peninsula and the Mt. Fuji area. On Day 1, ascend Mt. Omuro—an iconic volcanic hill offering panoramic views of Mt. Fuji and the surrounding landscape. Continue to Jogasaki Coast to experience dramatic cliffs shaped by ancient lava flows. In the evening, relax in a traditional onsen hotel nestled in serene surroundings.

On Day 2, visit Lake Yamanaka, where graceful swans and Mt. Fuji create a picturesque scene. Then explore Oshino Hakkai, a historic village of crystal-clear spring ponds fed by Mt. Fuji’s snowmelt, known for its pristine water and local culinary delights.

This is more than a sightseeing tour—it is a refined journey into Japan’s nature, history, and living culture.

12:00 Mt. Omuro Chairlift (JPY 1,000 / free exploration & lunch / approx. 1.5 hrs)
Located in central Izu, Mt. Omuro is a uniquely shaped volcanic hill resembling an inverted bowl, with a crater approximately 70 meters deep and 300 meters in diameter. Covered in lush green grass, visitors take a chairlift to the summit. On clear days, panoramic views of Mt. Fuji, the Amagi mountain range, and the Izu Islands can be enjoyed.
At the summit, you will find Asama Shrine, Eight Jizo statues, and Five Wisdom Buddhas, blending natural beauty with cultural heritage. Shops sell souvenirs, including the famous “Omuroyama Sanpuku Dango.”
13:45 Jogasaki Coast (approx. 1 hour)
Located on the eastern coast of the Izu Peninsula in Shizuoka Prefecture, this dramatic lava coastline was formed by an eruption of Mt. Omuro around 4,000 years ago. The 9-km stretch of rugged cliffs and crashing waves creates spectacular scenery. Highlights include the Kadowaki Suspension Bridge and lighthouse. Walking trails are available for nature exploration.
The Kadowaki Suspension Bridge (48m long, 23m high) is a must-see attraction offering thrilling views.

10:30 Lake Yamanaka – Swan Viewing (approx. 1 hour)
Lake Yamanaka, one of the Fuji Five Lakes, is located in southeastern Yamanashi Prefecture. It is known as a habitat for swans. Visitors can enjoy watching them gracefully swim, with Mt. Fuji forming a stunning backdrop—making it a popular photography spot.
11:50 Oshino Hakkai (approx. 1.5 hrs / free lunch)
Oshino Hakkai is a group of eight spring ponds located between Lake Yamanaka and Lake Kawaguchi. Designated as a national scenic site, it is fed by filtered snowmelt from Mt. Fuji and has a history of over 1,200 years.
Due to its exceptionally pure water, local noodle dishes are highly recommended.

A famous Lawson store known as a popular photo spot with Mt. Fuji in the background. At sunset, the soft golden light illuminates the snow-capped peak, creating a stunning दृश्य. It is recommended to shoot from across the street, with both the photographer and subject standing on the same side. A half-body composition with a cooler (blue-toned) color adjustment works especially well for photography.
14:20 Oishi Park (approx. 1 hr 10 mins)
Kawaguchiko Oishi Park (recommended visit periods: Mar 21–Apr 12, Jun–Oct)
In spring, the park offers classic views of Mt. Fuji framed by cherry blossoms. During summer, lavender fields bloom along Lake Kawaguchi, forming a vivid purple landscape that beautifully contrasts with Mt. Fuji. In autumn, the kochia bushes turn bright red, creating a soft and charming scenery. The park is also a main venue for the Kawaguchiko Herb Festival.

• Schedule changes are not allowed after the reservation is confirmed. Any losses incurred due to changes shall be borne by the customer.

• Please manage your valuables personally. We are not responsible for any loss or damage.

• Late arrival after departure, no-show without prior notice, or leaving the group midway will be considered a voluntary forfeiture, and no refund will be provided.


II. Participation Requirements

• Participants under 18 years of age must be accompanied by a guardian.

• Participants aged 70 or above are advised to assess their health condition and are recommended to be accompanied by a family member or friend aged 20 or above.

• Pregnant individuals, persons with heart conditions, hypertension, acrophobia, or other chronic illnesses are advised to refrain from participating in high-risk activities (e.g., skiing, water sports, etc.).

• The tour will be conducted in Chinese and Japanese. If other languages are required, please inquire in advance.

• If there are any changes in health condition after application, please notify us promptly.


III. Itinerary and Safety

• This is a group tour with shared transportation. Please follow the instructions of the guide/driver and strictly adhere to meeting times. No refund will be provided for any part of the itinerary missed due to lateness.

• The order of visits may be adjusted due to weather, traffic, events, etc., but no attractions will be omitted.

• Outdoor activities involve certain risks. Please participate according to your physical condition and follow on-site safety instructions.

• Safety and conduct during free time are the sole responsibility of the customer.

• Respect local laws, customs, and culture, and observe public etiquette.


VI. Insurance and Liability

• We strongly recommend that customers purchase travel accident insurance independently.

• Upon request, we can introduce partner insurance companies.

• We are only liable for damages caused by our own negligence. Damages resulting from natural disasters or other force majeure events are not covered.
